This beautifully detailed Gorham silver spoon is a very unique find. Top of handle features an image of General Robert E. Lee on Traveller. The bowl of the spoon has, “GETTYSBURG” above a raised image of the General G.K. Warren statue at Little Round Top.

Spoon measures approximately 6” long. Reverse has a shell design at base of handle and maker’s mark which reads, “STERLING”. There are also silver benchmarks present. Silver is very bright.

This is a nice, vintage Gettysburg collectible. Included is a copy of an ad for the souvenir spoons from the 1892 publication, “GETTYSBURG- WHAT THEY DID HERE” by Luther W. Minnigh. There were three different spoons available from C.A. Blocher, a jeweler on the town square in Gettysburg.  [sm]
