This is a piece of clear acrylic with a round musket ball and a small shield embedded at center. The shield reads “Eternal Peace Light Memorial” with a rendering of the monument. Along the bottom edge of the shield is “GETTYSBURG, PA.” The acrylic has some light wear around the base but is in good condition overall.

This item dates from the 1950’s and represents the types of souvenirs sold at the Electric Map Museum during that period. This specimen comes right from the Rosensteel family’s personal collection and was directly obtained from a family member. The Rosensteel family was the creators and proprietors of the Electric Map Museum in Gettysburg and their collection formed the basis for the present Gettysburg National Military Park collection.  [ad]
