Stake has moderate surface rust and pitting. “GETTYSBURG” is painted in white on the side. Measures approx. 8 ½” long.

This stake comes with a letter of verification that it was found by a local relic hunter in an area west of McPherson’s Ridge near Seven Stars. This area was occupied by Confederate forces on July 1, 1863 during the first day of the battle. This specific site was occupied by troops from South Carolina.  [sm]
