Item Code: 173-3045

This is an iron barrel band from a P-1853 Enfield rifle. This is the top band that once held the top sling swivel.  Rusty with swivel broken off.  This was recovered from the Peach Orchard at Gettysburg by local resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held the primary collection of Gettysburg artifacts.  [jet]
