CS 4.52” 12 LB. spherical shell found between Devil’s Den and the Big Round Top parking lot. This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel Rider collection. Mrs. Rider is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, it became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection in June 2016.

Wooden fuse plug visible, de-activisation hole as well (.375” diameter). Smoothly symmetrical, while exhibiting plum colored rust & pitting. Entirely safe. Superb Confederate Gettysburg artillery relic.   [JP/LD]
