Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 532-62

This is an excavated fragment of a Confederate 12-pounder cannon ball. A brass fuse adaptor remains in the center of the fragment. Fuse has a pretty green patina and the iron is rusty. Measures approximately 3 ½” at widest point.

This was recovered from the Valley of Death on the Gettysburg battlefield by local resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. Cullison sold his collection to the famed Gettysburg Rosensteel family, who held the primary collection of Gettysburg artifacts.  [jet]
