Brass hangar features a spread-winged eagle with shield, flanked by 13 stars. Original pin and hook are present on reverse.  Suspended from this is a dark red silk ribbon with applied label that reads, “SEPT. 1890 / GETTYSBURG”. Attached by a ring to the hangar is a shield-shaped medal with the G.A.R. symbol and wording, “ENCAMPMENT GAR”.

Measures 2 1/8” long. Ribbon is clean with no tears.  [sm]
