This is a very early guide to the Gettysburg Battlefield. It features a tour through the battlefield, including many lithograph images. A fold-out map is in the back of booklet. Published by W.J. Shuey in Dayton, Ohio.
Jacob Hoke was also the author of the book, “THE GREAT INVASION OF 1863” about the campaign of Lee.
Measures 5 ¾” x 8 ½”. Book is sewn together with string, and has binding tape on the spine. Pages have yellowed with age, with no pages loose or missing. Edges of cover have small chips and tears, some pages show slight chipping. Text contains 24 pages.
