This is a very early guide to the Gettysburg Battlefield. It features descriptions of the three days of the battle, including many lithograph images. Interesting period advertisements for hotels and businesses in Gettysburg are also present.
The author, J. Warren Gilbert, was a guide for the Electric Railway which toured through the battlefield from 1893- 1916.
Measures 5 ¾” x 9”. Binding is tight. Pages have yellowed with age, with no pages loose or missing. Cover has light soiling, while edges have small chips and tears. Some pages show slight chipping. Text contains 56 pages.
