Here is a photograph of a large number of Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) members posing in down town Hanover, PA, at the “Custer Tree”.  The framed image measures 19” x 22” overall.  Original heavy oak frame shows no damage.  Image is under glass and backed by wood.  Veterans pose in street with at square with the Custer Tree; location where on June 30, 1863, General George A. Custer is said to have tied up his horse.  Veterans stand in G.A.R. uniforms with reunion ribbons.  Image is faded.  [jet]
