Two-piece medal has top hangar with raised lettering that reads, “JULY 1*2*3 1863 / GETTYSBURG VETERAN”. Original pin is present on reverse. Round medal shows an image of the New York state seal, and reads, “NEW YORK DAY / DEDICATION OF STATE MONUMENTS AT GETTYSBURG, JULY 1.2.3. 1893.” Reverse shows a raised image of the New York state monument flanked by laurel leaves.

Total length measures 2 ¾”.  [SL]
