Two pieces, chain linked. Upper piece—“July 1*2*3/ 1863/ GETTYSBURG VETERAN—w/crossbar pin. Lower piece features New York Excelsior shield, w/outer inscription: “Dedication of New York Monuments at Gettysburg/ July 1*2*3/ New York Day”. On the reverse: The New York Monument/ 1863-1913. With vertical red, white and blue ribbon hanging vertically from upper pin. Overall length (w/ribbon) 3.5”, width 2”. Ribbon is intact, but frayed. Medallion ensemble exhibits smooth sharp medium bronze patina. Extremely handsome. Fine New York Monument Gettysburg collectible. [JP]
