Stereo view of the Confederate dead laid out for burial on the Rose Farm at Gettysburg. The location of this site was discovered by photographic historian William Frassanito. Images are clear with good contrast. Mounted on orange card stock with advertising pasted to the back. “GETTYSBURG BATTLE-FIELD VIEWS, PUBLISHED BY MUMPER & CO., Photographic Artists, No. 25 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, Pa.” A long list of views follows. This is noted as “Dead on Culp’s Hill” which we now know is an error. Paper label on back shows moderate “foxing” but overall this card is in very good condition. [jet]
