The men of the company wear campaign hats, shirts, trousers and canvas leggings. Officers are seated at front and center and wear leather leggings.
Image is framed and meas. approx. 40.00 x 12.25 inches. Image has good clarity and excellent contrast.
Fame and mat are modern.
The 61st US Infantry was part of the 5th Infantry Division. It served in France during World War One. Arriving in May of 1918 the regiment took part with its division in the St. Mihiel and Muse-Argonne offensives. The 61st Regiment and the 5th Division captured 2,367 Germans and suffered 9,981 casualties, 1,098 of them killed. [ad]
