Very unique souvenir booklet is in the shape of a cannon ball. Front cover shows title is in gold gilt. Inside of front cover reads, “COPYRIGHT 1904 BY THE CHAS. H. ELLIOTT CO. FOR WILLIAM H. TIPTON”. Pages are made of card stock and are hand sewn together in red thread, which is tied in the center of booklet. Pages contain nineteen of Tipton’s famous photographs of the Gettysburg Battlefield along with written descriptions. Pages at the center show Pickett’s Charge and Culp’s Hill, with a border around them to appear to look as an explosion.
Booklet measures 5” in circumference. Contains fourteen leaves. Very good condition with no chips or tears, just light distressing at edge of binding. [sl]
