Matted photograph shows a nicely dressed couple posing by a cannon on East Cemetery Hill at the Gettysburg Battlefield. Just behind them to the right is the equestrian monument to Major General Hancock. The gentleman wears a dark colored suit and tie with white shirt and hat. A pin or button is present on his lapel. The lady wears a dark colored skirt with white blouse and large decorated hat. A heart shaped necklace hangs around her neck.
Black mat is marked at the lower right corner, “J.I. MUMPER, 29 BALTIMORE ST. GETTYSBURG, PA”. Hand inscription in pencil on reverse reads, “WAYNE GOOD / ALICE WITE 1907”.
Image is very clear with good contrast. Measures approximately 6” by 8”,including mat. [AD]
