This is a Civil War period tin cup found on the Gettysburg battlefield and from the Rosensteel collection. Cup is very rusty and obviously sat out on the field for some time.  One small ½” area rusted through and many pin holes overall.  Cup measures approximately 4” tall x 4” in diameter. Rolled edge on top and on handle edges. Handle is riveted to cup. Top is out of round.

From the Rosensteel collection in Gettysburg.  This family collection was the basis of the current Gettysburg NMP collection.  [jet]
