Fragment meas. approx. 3.25 x 2.25 and is from the side of the shell just below the nose. A good portion of the upper bourrelet is visible.

Neatly painted across the face of the fragment in white is “GETTYSBURG.”

The fragment has been cleaned by electrolysis and presents very nicely.    [AD]
