Early souvenir pin cushion shows a wooden base which is stamped, “GETTYSBURG, JULY 1,2,3, 1863 / WOOD FROM LITTLE ROUND TOP”. This item was made by Gettysburg resident John Good, a local cabinet maker who had a shop on Race Horse Alley. He collected early battlefield relics and made souvenirs out of them such as desk sets, as well as items made out of wood from the battlefield.
Measures 3” high by 2 ½” in circumference at the base. Pin cushion shows no tears. Wood has a couple of very light surface scratches. [jet]
