12-pound canister ball mounted on a round wooden base makes a nice display piece. Underside of base has hand inscription that reads, “GETTYSBURG 1863” and an old hand written note that reads, “THIS WAS MY MOTHER’S ‘SECRET WEAPON’. SHE MUCH PREFERRED IT TO AN ORDINARY HAMMER! CEA”.

Base measures 3 ½’ in circumference. A small piece of the wood has broken off of the edge, but is not very noticeable.  [SL]
