Yellow mount showing one of the now famous photos of the Confederate dead awaiting burial in the Rose Farm pasture. The scene of severe fighting on July 2 as the Confederates assaulted Brooke’s Brigade. By L. Mumper, Gettysburg; Views of the Battle Field of Gettysburg. Images show the rows of Confederate dead. “DEAD ON CULP’S HILL” is the original caption, which we know now is incorrect.
