This early souvenir of Gettysburg is a clay canteen with one side showing an image of Jennie Wade. Other side has lettering that reads, “THE ONLY LADY KILLED AT GETTYSBURG JULY 2, 63”.
Canteen measures just over an inch in diameter. Original string is present, but one tack which holds string is missing. [SL]
