State seal pelican feeding her young on a lined field. Button almost completely flattened, sans shank. Backmark not readable. Recovered by local resident and relic hunter Ron Miller. He was the brother of Ed Miller, well known local relic hunter who amassed a large Gettysburg collection.
Scarce button rarely found here. Recovered at the entrance to the old Gettysburg High School on Lefever Street off Baltimore Street. [ws]
