This badge was distributed to and worn by those who served New York during the Gettysburg campaign. The pin signifies a New York gathering taking place in 1913 in Gettysburg, not necessarily the 50th Anniversary.
The top bar has a laurel wreath with oblong image of soldiers shaking hands. The image sits between the dates 1863 and 1913. On the reverse, there is discoloration.
Descending from the top bar is a Greek cross with a circular image of Lee and Meade. The cross-points house images of the GAR shield, crossed long arms and cannons. The back of this section is bright with a clear makers’ mark. [MK]
