Sand cast brass plate with two “teeth.” One tooth is shorter than the other, which is common to this style plate. This is the most common style of frame buckle and comes in varying sizes. Plate is in excellent condition and is similar to plate #52 in Confederate Belt Buckles and Plates by Steve Mullinax. Item comes with documentation and description of location where the plate was dug. The digger states that the place where the plate was dug was in sight of Culp’s Hill.
