This plate features Ike and Mamie Eisenhower smiling in the clouds above their Gettysburg home. The front reads "EISENHOWER HOME / GETTYSBURG, PA." The back reads "The Eisenhowers after making their home in many places decided to establish their permanent residence at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and in 1950, acquired their farm at Gettysburg and restored the 100 year old house on the property, rebuilding it into its present form. The farm is adjacent to the famous battlefield and also near the where Mr. Eisenhower was stationed during World War I, then known as Camp Colt." The plate was made by "Old English Staffordshire Ware" in Staffordshire England and "Imported Exclusively For N.A Meligakes / Gettysburg, PA."
