This is an envelope with printed front cover. Envelope was specifically for soldiers to mail money home. Filled in in ink by Captain Samuel D. Stevenson of Company K, 2nd New York Mounted Rifles. He sent $100.00 home on July 20, 1864. Five, red wax seals remain on back. Item is clean and in good condition.
Stevenson served from February of 1864 to August of 1865. [jet]
