Attractive display measuring 11" X 14" with scarlet suede matting with Florentine gold trim. Ready to frame [shrink wrapped].
Included is a strand of George Washington's hair that descended from his nephew George Steptoe Washington to his great grandniece Martha Washington of Philadelphia. George Steptoe Washington was the son of Samuel Walter Washington who died in 1781. George Washington was the guardian of his nephew after his brother's death. The wallpaper remnant, measuring approx. 5/8” x ½”, was purchased from Heritage Auctions in 2016. Provenance for both the hair and wallpaper is included.
