Signed by Alexander Stephens, front eps, with following inscription in his hand: “Received of Hon. Jas, B. Milesmith of Missouri/ 19th May 1868/ Alexander Stephens”. Front eps, owner stamp: “R.A. Weaver.” 447 pp., 7.5 x 5.5”, green glazed cloth, w/gilt spine lettering. Exhibits wear at the extremities, w/light scattered foxing of text; final page tear neatly mended w/archival tape. Else VG. Solid piece. With Alexander Stephen’s inscription, definitely a collectible.  [jp]
