Published by E.R. Wagner, Printer & Stationer, New Orleans, LA, 1862. Owner signature, in ink, title page: “Col. Isaac Dyer / Nov. 9th 1862.” Yellow wraps, 35 pp. plus supplement, 9 x 5.75”. Exhibits light wear & slight wrinkling at the extremities. Else VG.
Isaac Dyer was commissioned Lieut. Col. Into 15th Maine Field & Staff, 12/17/1861, and promoted regimental Col., 8/26/1862, and Brevet Brig. General 3/13/1865. Mustered out 9/13/1865. His unit was dispatched in 1862 to the Dept. of the Gulf and participated in the Red River Campaign and the Battle of Sabine Pass. Transferred to the east, it was present at Bermuda One Hundred while serving with the 18th Corps. During service it lost 5 men killed and 343 by disease for a total of 348.
