Dated “Taken June 19th, 1885”.  6.5 x4.25”.  Lower margin maker-mark and caption: “Barrett, 25 Anne St. N.Y./ GENERAL U.S. GRANT AND FAMILY, AT MT. McGREGOR.” Exhibits a handful of small, slight light dots on left margin, else clear and sharp image. Grant sits amid family, in the midst of his family, including wife Julia Dent Grant, at the time he was racing to complete his memoirs ahead of his death by cancer a month later, July 25, 1885. Excellent Grant collectible.  [jp]
