Trousers are made of a dark royal blue wool broadcloth and have a black leg stripe that is 1.50 inches wide.

The body of the trousers are in good condition with only one or two scattered spots of mothing. There are two side pockets and one watch pocket. The fly is held closed by four japanned tin buttons. Waist closure buttons are missing. All of the suspender buttons are present and are of the same make as then fly buttons. The back waist of the trousers have an adjustable yoke backed in brown polished cotton with a japanned buckle that is dated “1871.”

Interior of the waist is lined with white muslin and the pockets are made of the same. One of the pockets has a faint pencil ID that looks to read “W. E. MINNICK, 678 WASHINGTON, 22 REGT N.G.S.N.Y.”  [ad]
