This rounded brass Kittredge + Co. Cartridge Box is in excellent. Burnished copper color patina, brighter along rounded bottom seam; shows minor wear. No surface rust. Patent information stamped on spring loaded front flap: “B. KITTREDGE & CO. / GUN DEALERS / CIN OHIO / PATENTED JAN. 27 1863 / REIUSSED APL. 14. 1863”. These Kitteridge Company cartridge containers were used with Frank Wesson rifles, and famous Henry rifle. Scarce.
