Nice pair of wooden drumsticks that are made out of ebony. Wood is in very good condition with no cracks. There are some light scratches and dings on the surface of the wood. Drumsticks each have a decorative brass cap on the top end. Each drumstick measures 16” long.
Leather sling has a brass plate attached with cylinders for drumsticks to slide into for carrying. Sling has brass ring and hook. All brass has a semi-bright patina, with some darkened areas. Leather has light crazing. Stitching is tight except for the area at the top of sling, where about two inches has come loose.
This is a rare find to have an original pair of Civil War drum sticks together with an original sling. [sm]
