The face of this plate has a nice even patina throughout. The surface is free of dings and dents and exhibits only light wear. The face is really rather pleasing in presentation showing age but no abuse. The reverse has 100% of the lead fill and both loops. The lead surface is smooth and shows light discoloration from age and storage. This plate is a very nice example of the standard Pattern 1839 oval “US.”
