Very nice surface on the face with very pronounced lines on the letters. Some original gilt finish remains between the letters while other areas shows some rubbing from an old cleaning. Face and edges are free of nicks and dents.
Reverse has 100% of the lead fill and both of the iron loops for attaching to the box. Faint stamp at center reads “W.H. SMITH BROOKLYN” in two lines.
