This brass Model 1851 NCO rectangular belt plate has a strong and sharp spread-winged eagle with riband, stars and shield. Applied silver oak wreath runs to the tip of the eagle’s wings. The silver of the wreath has tarnished some and the brass has a dark even patina.

Reverse has the tongue but no bench mark.

Though this plate was meant for use by NCO’s many officers wore these as well.
