Non-dug Civil War era officer’s sword belt buckle. Cast brass eagle buckle with applied German silver wreath. This has narrow ½ inch wide hook and “489” bench mark on back. The buckle is still nicely curved and only shows minor wear. Beautiful mellow patina overall. In excellent condition.   [jet]
