Non-dug US belt buckle for the dragoon accoutrement belt. The dragoon style differs in that the hooks are placed to buckle from the left instead of from the right. Nice piece with wear from usage on front and back. The front is bright. The usual very small nicks and scratches from use are present but in no way detract. Full lead on reverse with puppy-paw hooks. Stamped with worn maker’s mark, “BOYD & SONS / BOSTON” where “Boston” portion is most visible. Nice condition.  [jet]
