Very nice and complete eagle militia plate circa 1840-1860.

Stamped sheet brass plate featuring a central eagle within a thin linear border surrounded by thirteen five-pointed stars around the edge.

Reverse retains the sheet brass tongue as well as a bar with two sliding teeth for attaching to a belt.

Plate has a nice mellow patina and is free of any dings or dents.    [ad]
