Smooth side canteen with pewter spout and a nice brown wool cover in excellent condition. There are no holes in the cover and it looks and feels clean. The cork stopper is 100% intact and the pull-ring is anchored to one of the sling keepers by a chain. Stamped on the spout is “JOHNSON & CO.” Except for a little wear on the cork stopper and one medium sized dent in the center of one side the item appears to be unissued. The aforementioned dent can only be felt and not seen.
