Standard Model 1858 smoothside canteen with complete linen sling and dark blue cover. The body of the canteen has a moderate dent at the center of each side. Due to the cover the dents have to be felt to be discerned.  All three sling keepers are present as is the chain, pull-ring and cork stopper. The spout is made of pewter and has a small rolled lip at top. The linen sling is complete but dirty and mostly curled.  The cover is a lighter shade of dark blue showing hints of a white weft underneath and is in very good condition.
