Canteen has a very nice distressed blue patina. Center has painted red initials, “J.F.”, surrounded by a dotted red oval border. Measures 7” in diameter x 2 ¾” thick. Three pairs of iron rivets held sling keepers in place. Pieces of leather still remain. Overlapping rim is tight and tacked in place with iron rivets. Spout and stopper are missing. Some light surface scratches are present. [sl]
