This is a very nice condition C.S. tin drum canteen with a unique feature not seen very often – a screw top on a threaded spout instead of the usual cork type tapered spout. All three sling keepers are present. Edges, spout and keepers are soldered. Measures 7 ¾” in circumference by 2” wide.
The body is solid with very minor dings, dents and scratches from age and use. Shows small areas of very light surface rust.
This is a unique addition for a Confederate collection. [sl]
