The body of this canteen is in good condition with only one finger-tip sized dent detected. All three of the sling keepers are present but the cork stopper and pull ring are gone as is the string attaching it to the canteen. Spout is made of pewter and unmarked. The body of the canteen is covered with a coarse brown wool material with some small, scattered wear holes. The major area of wear is around the spout where the cover has frayed on both sides. Remains of leather sling passes through all the keepers but ends at the spout.
