$295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 408-244

This item is a piece of black felt that meas. approx. 4.75 inches long x 4.00 inches wide. Sewn to the felt are two pairs of Lieutenant-Colonel’s oak leaves. If cut across the center you would end up with two shoulder strap length pieces of felt with the oak leaves arranged as they are found on straps.

A number of mid to late war images show officers wearing should-strap rank insignia with no borders or sometimes wearing only the cut-out rank which no doubt came from pieces like these.

The overall condition is good. The tops are excellent but the undersides have a thin lining that is torn.
