Black felt oval that meas. approx. 3.25 inches long x 3 3/8 inches wide and is outlined with gold dead bullion. Felt has retained its color and is in good condition.

At center of the oval is an eagle done in gold bullion and gold twisted thread and sequins. Stretched between the eagle’s wingtips is a sunburst done in silver bullion thread above 13 cross-stitched stars. The eagle holds an olive branch in one talon and three arrows in the other. The arrows have no shafts only the points.

Thread is in good condition and has darkened some with age.

This piece has a brown polished cotton backing and two attachment loops.

Excellent condition high quality item.
