Black felt oval that meas. approx. 3.00 inches long x 2.00 inches wide with a single line of dead gold bullion as a border. Felt and bullion are in excellent condition.
At center of the oval are the letters “NY” done in a heavy silver bullion thread. These letters are at the center of a laurel wreath done in gold bullion thread and twisted gold wire
The back of the insignia has a brown polished cotton backing that is in excellent shape. Both of the brass hooks on the back are present.
