Oval patch features a false embroidered image of the triple-turreted castle engineer symbol, which is surrounded by real embroidered leaves. Background is black felt with gold bullion thread and sequence used to embroider the leaves. Gold is semi-bright, with some original gilt remaining on higher surfaces. Back of patch is muslin and is hand-stitched to the black felt. There are two attachment hooks present on the reverse. Patch is intact and stitching is tight.
Measures approx. 2 ½” x 1 ½”.
