$495.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 344-2401

Pair of dress, bullion epaulettes for a Lieutenant Colonel in their tin carrying case.

Epaulette upper-surfaces feature gilt ribbed strap with a single row bullion border, brass outer shell, with triple row of hanging bullion tassels. Undersides are covered in yellow silk with shoulder cushions, shoe-string ties, and brass fastener clasps. Found loose in the tin case are two silver bullion rank insignia for Lt. Colonel. These are in nice, unused condition, never attached to the epaulettes.

The epaulettes exhibit very slight tarnish. Silk on undersides is in excellent shape. All four lengths of brown shoe-string ties remain. Overall epaulette condition, very fine. Separate Lt. Colonel insignias are in unused, excellent condition. Carrying case is solid and complete, however all Japanning on outer surface has been removed. Japanning on inner case is clean and only shows moderate wear and scratches. Complete with handle and side clasp fastener.   [jet]
